WITHDRAWAL RIGHT

Withdrawal exercised, refund missing: the merchant gets 14 days — so do you.

You have 14 days to withdraw; the professional has 14 days to refund you in full. ClaimyGuard locks the dates and drafts the demand.

01Describe your dispute — order, withdrawal date, amount.
02ClaimyGuard computes — the merchant's refund deadline (L221-24) computed to the day and your demand letter.
03You send it — a ready-to-send, documented, timestamped claim letter with your deadline highlighted.

The legal framework — verified on Légifrance (2026-10-01)

ART. L221-18 — WITHDRAWAL PERIOD

The consumer has fourteen days to exercise their right of withdrawal from a distance contract, without having to give any reason. (Verified on Légifrance, in force since 01/07/2016.)

ART. L221-24 — REFUND

When the right of withdrawal is exercised, the professional refunds all sums paid, including delivery costs, without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days of being informed of the consumer's decision. (Verified on Légifrance.)

ART. L221-28 — EXCEPTIONS

The right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for a limitative list of contracts (fully performed services with express consent, custom-made goods, perishables…). ClaimyGuard flags if your purchase is on the list.
